Rain Rain Make the Allergies Go Away

I love love love this warm weather, but I discovered the down side. My baby girl's allergies came way to soon and with a vengeance.  She has been up coughing the past 3 nights and yesterday she came home with a headache so bad that she was crying her little eyes out.  I HATE that she has to deal with seasonal allergies.  We usually use a generic Claritin, but while at the pharmacy last night, I saw that they now have children's Allegra and the active antihistamine is different. I asked the pharmacist which one he recommended, which is usually a good idea, but this pharmacist obviously just didn't really care.  Not sure why I listened to him when he non-nonchalantly told me to give the Allegra a try, but I did. Problem is, it is a 12 hour instead of 24 hour, so she would have to take more, and it also has a "no fruit juice" warning on it. What is up with that?! I know sometimes grapefruit juice renders some meds ineffective, and maybe even some citrus juices, but no FRUIT juice of any kind?? I thought that was way weird. And Mads loves juice. And I didn't want to tell her no juice at daycare especially if the other kids were having it. So I bought the Claritin instead.
