Tonight we are taking Madie to her first play. We are meeting up with her buddy Robby, whose mom is one of my good friends. Madie will be so happy to see her fave friend and her daycare granny, Carol. Mads has been getting her "old" and "new" daycares confused lately. It's a little odd only because she has been going to the new one for about 3 months now. But I think she mostly just misses Robby. She has been talking about him a lot lately and still calls him her best friend, even though she has made great new friends at the new daycare as well. When her and Jason pulled up to daycare this morning, she said to him, "I'm a little sad today". When he asked why, she said it was because she wanted to go to Robby's house. So it will be great for her to get a surprise tonight and get to hang out with him for awhile. On the other hand, our daycare lady told Jason this morning that one of her little buddies, Henry, told his mom last night that Madie is his best friend. So cute, because he is one of Madie's two "favorite" friends there as well. They are only about a week apart in age so it is a good match.
We still don't really know what will happen at the end of the summer in regards to daycare when I go back to work, but since it is a source of stress, I am trying not to think about it too much. I am just praying that it will all work out and for now, that is okay.
