So, about a month ago I wrote about the house we had found and how excited we were blah blah blah. We were supposed to close by the 17th of this month, but we have had road block after road block. I blame it on a combination of trying to buy a foreclosure from a bank and a mortgage guy who didn't look far enough ahead to get the ball rolling on potential problems that might come up. Such as the 15 thousand problems that since have come up. That is all I want to say about that. I won't bore you with the details. We are running out of time though because this baby is going to be here in less than 2 months and after May 20th, when our lease is up, we have to have someplace to live. We NEED to get this house closed on. I just don't know if we are going to have time to find something else and go thru this process again.
Anyways.
Since I love things like this, here is what I am going to do. Please join in on your blog so that I can come and check it out!

Since I started dating Jason (2 years ago this month!), he has led me on quite a few new experiences which I am so grateful for. One of these happens to be a yearly canoe trip down the St Croix. It is only a two day trip, but so much fun. We get to Taylor's Falls early on a Saturday morning and rent our canoes. I was a little nervous the first year because I had canoed maybe once in my life and hey wait! Don't those things TIP OVER!?
We then canoe all day in a caravan of friends, usually 5 or 6 canoes worth. We stop every once in awhile on the shore to swim and whatnot and we drink. Oh yes people. You can fit alot of stuff on a canoe and one is a stocked cooler. Around 4ish, we start trying to find a good camping spot on the side of the river to set up shop for the night. We have had some really good luck with spots as you can see above. Then we bon fire and eat and party into the night. In the morning we reload and canoe about 1-2 hours to the next port where we had left our cars the day before (they have a bus that brings you up to the start).
Our first year, me and Jason were arguing and such and yes, the canoe did tip. I still say it was his fault, and he says it's mine, but that's no surprise right? We also did the cliff jumping thing the first year, also a good time. But you want to do it a little earlier in the day because cliff jumping and drinking do not mix, kids!!! The first year, besides the cliff jumping, a friend of Jason's and I spotted a train track over the river. The water below was SUPER deep (he dove down to check it out) so we thought, let's jump off of it! This is one of those things that you look back on a couple years later and go, Oh My, I am Lucky I Survived That Hello How Careless Can You Be?! Anyways, we had been drinking all day and jumped off this damn bridge twice. The second time was only moments before a train came and I pretty much bellyflopped it. It hurt so bad and I had to give it my everything just to get my head above water. Never. Again. I promise, I am no longer that reckless. Really.
Really.
