It's a...

GIRL!!!

We found out yesterday at the fetal echo cardiogram. I told the technician that we were unable to tell at the level II and she was all like "I am NOT supposed to, so do NOT tell the doctor, but we will take a peek!".

The echo cardiogram took forever, about an hour and a half, but the heart looks great! So far, this baby looks perfectly normal and healthy and I could not be more relieved. She (SHE!!) was all curled up like last time, nice and cozy. I will have to remember that she likes to have her legs tucked up under her.

At one point, the technician had me lay on my side to get a better view of the heart, and the sound was on. Every couple of seconds there was a little "pow!" noise and I realized that I could feel something on my left side when each noise happened. I asked if those were kicks and she said "Yep, every one of them". I could FEEL it! I hadn't really trusted myself to know that those litle flicks were kicks, but know that I do know, I am kind of feeling like "duh". They wrere just so soft though you know? But now I know what to feel for and I have been feeling it all morning. I can't wait until she is big enough for Jason to feel too.

3 months, 24 days til my due date! Wow, it seems close now. Really close!

We decided to at least keep the name secret from friends and family, since the sex is not a secret. Then I talked to my mom this morning and when I told her that, she was like "No, just tell me!". I kept saying no and then she just outright guessed it! Guessed it with one guess and it is not even one that me and Jason had told anyone yet. She is good. She is REAL good. I made her swear to secrecy now :)

And since no one in my "real" life reads this, baby girl will now be called:

Madilynn Anne (Maddie for short)

: 0)

Awwww yay!!! I'm glad you felt the baby and everything's going well!

Are you due May 28? I could have miscalculated, but if so, we're due near the same time! I'm the 24th!

I love the name!

AGH! Blogger ate my comment. Let's try this again:

CONGRATULATIONS on your little girl! And it's so cool to finally know for sure that it's her kicks and punches you're feeling, not your lunch being digested. Awesome.

How exciting for you and your husband.

I'm sure you will inherit your mother's mind-reading abilities. Seems to come with the job!
