I have fallen once again into the trap of my 2 New Year's resolutions that I make EVERY year. And every year I fail. Obviously. If I did not fail, I would not have to make the same resolutions every year. And they are not even original resolutions.
Brace yourself.
1. Lose weight.
2. Quit smoking.*
I know! You can steal them if you want because I know no one else thought of resolutions like this no sirrey!
Ahem.
Here's the thing though. This time I have my very own treadmill, right down in my basement. So easy, so close. No excuses. And so last Monday (yes, I started a little after the 1st of January, but ignore that part), I began my workout. I had planned on 30 min per day, but thought better of that once I was on.
I am walking an EXTREMEly thin line of motivation here folks. Also, not so much in shape over here (reference the "need to lose weight" thing and the "need to quit smoking thing").
So I started out with 15 minutes. And would you believe that the next day I already felt better? I really did. I felt like I had more energy and a lighter step. Mostly in my head I am sure since 15 minutes of anything can't really affect a person in that way. Can it? Anyways, I kept that up through Thursday and then hit my weekend wall in which I did not exercise, did not keep my food journal, and smoked cigarettes Friday through Sunday.
So! Any tips on how NOT to throw the towel in every freaking weekend? Cause that is a HUGE issue for me.
*And yes, I did quit smoking through my entire pregnancy. But then I started again. Genius.
